It was a great show, the prayer mockery and God impersonation were perfect: "Whaddaya think I'm deaf." The interview with David Sanger was good too but there was a moment, a big one... David Sanger, a prestigious leading journalist who I respect, made the unfortunate comment, almost Pavlovian: "The Iranians are
building nuclear weapons..." This assertion is a perfect example of the
Big Lie. And the Big Lame MSM. Since it has been repeated all the time,
over and over by the former pResident and many "liberals", everyone believes it and it is now taken as fact in our well-behaved indoctrinated society. We know how to treat state enemies. I just wish Jon would have asked him
why he disagrees with the unequivocal judgment of the US intelligence
community. Does he know something they don't? In late 2007, as Jon probably knows because he is well-informed and as David Sanger must know b/c it is his job, the US intelligence community released a National
Intelligence Estimate on Iran, the product and consensus of all 25 or
however many ridiculous number of intelligence agencies we have. They
stated unequivocally that Iran is NOT working on a nuclear weapons
program (uh, oh, that means they probably are...). The NIE stated that
Iran's nuclear program was suspended in 2003. While this implies an earlier Iranian weapons program, it is emphatic that they are NOT building nuclear weapons or even working on said program for 5 years now. Yet leading NYTimes journalist David Sanger says they are building nuclear weapons. "Gooood booyyyy."
Iran is a signatory and participates and by all (non-propagandistic) accounts, is
largely in compliance with the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT).
It has inspectors constantly scouring its territory. Just ask Mohamed el-Baradei. Israel did not
sign the treaty (yay for candor). Meanwhile, the US is in blatant and continual non-compliance with the NPT as
it develops new generation nukes and makes no effort to fully eliminate
its arsenal, as required by the treaty. And needless to say, inspectors would NEVER be allowed at our facilities. Oh yeah, Israel has a nuclear
weapons program and well over 100 nuclear weapons and continually
threaten to bomb Iran. Hmmm, I wonder what the natural albeit
unfortunate Iranian reaction would be.

Perhaps in this new administration, we'll start following the rules just as we expect everyone else to. One can only hope, huh?
