A deep subject indeed. There is the glory and the beauty of the past that is struggling to survive and the harsh reality of what our ancestors did and where all Native people stand today. I'm just going to post pretty stuff here after this.

On this continent we have Canada and Mexico as well as American soil.

A lot of my personal life has been exposed at this site not just out of an over-inflated ego. :smileywink: You could almost make my resume if you went through my posts.  I've always had more than one job at a time.  There's the earner, the artist, and the contributor to society.  I choose to gravitate towards public figures who are positively changing the course of society.  My choice while on this earth is to make things better and lift others up.  That's why I work here.  :smileyhappy:

In my past I have raised funds and packed medical supplies for refugees in Guatemala and also helped create better medical clinics on a few Native American Reservations.  That was through www.seva.org We did benefit concerts with many well known performers and I worked hard on to help produce those events.  That included the end process of getting the funds to buy the supplies to build or pack.  The doctors that went into Guatamala had to handcuff their supply bags to themselves to keep them from being stolen.  This prompted longer questioning periods and delayed travel issues but they got there and did great work as volunteers.

By the way - my blood is a small percentage of Blackfoot and Cherokee, but I am a registered member of the Chickasaw Nation where I vote on reservation issues though I don't live in Oklahoma where the government allocated our ten parcels for cooperation on the Trail of Tears. It is uncertain at this time if my children will be allowed the reservation benefits that I can receive in the form of medical care and education scholarships. they are restructuring now due to the abuse by outside tribal members especially in the area of prescription medications. My dad always encouraged us to register and take advantage of the potential benefits of the tribe but my brother and I feel that we are too low by blood and that there are others who live there who need the funds much more than we do. As a silly side note - Stephen Colbert is also a dabble of Chickasaw which I believe is on his mother's side.

Again... a negative stereotype.

I said I would only post pretty things, but this is kind of cute.

I realize that some might say that is offensive, but the only reason I could be born is because some of my ancestors weren't better shots when they were trying to kill my other ancestors, so I tend not to get to hyped up about somebody's ancestor just insulting someone else's ancestor.
